BEL Recruitment Drive Eligibility Criteria :
Trainee Engineer-I/Project Engineer – I:
Electronics: 4 years B.Sc (Engg.)/ B.E./ B. Tech Engineering course from any AICTE recognized Institute/ University in the disciplines of Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Telecommunication / Communication / Electrical & Electronics
Computer Science: 4 years full-time B.E./ B. Tech Engineering course from any AICTE recognized Institute/ University in Computer Science/ Computer Science Engineering/ Computer Science & Engineering.
Period of Contract:
- Project Engineer –I: Will be engaged for an initial period of 03 years, which may be extended up to a maximum of One year (Maximum tenure of 04 years) based on project requirements and individual performance.
Trainee Engineer – I: Will be engaged for an initial period of 2 years, which may be extended up to a maximum of One year (Maximum tenure of 3 years) based on project requirements and individual performance.
Age Limit(As on 01 January 2024):
- Trainee Engineer -I: 28 Years
- Project Engineer – I: 32 years
Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit indicated is for candidates belonging to General & EWS Category.
- The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates, 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PwBD candidates (having minimum 40% disability, in addition to the relaxation applicable to OBC (NCL)/SC/ST candidates).
Stipend:
Trainee Engineer:
- 1st year Rs. 30,000/-
- 2nd year Rs. 35,000/-
- 3rd year Rs. 40,000/-
- 4th Year Rs. 45,000/-
Project Engineer – I:
- 1st year Rs. 40,000/-
- 2nd year Rs. 45,000/-
- 3rd year Rs. 50,000/-
- 4th Year Rs. 55,000/-

BEL Recruitment 2021/Selection Process:
- Selection will be through a written test followed by interview of only those candidates who qualify the written test which will be for 85 marks.
- Candidates who pass the written test will be called for interview (Category-wise) based on the vacancies, in the ratio of 1:5.
- The minimum qualifying marks in Written Test and Interview is 35% for General /EWS/OBC and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD.
- The venue for the Written Test and Interview will be KOTDWARA
